Layered style comparison

It's always fun to look at old pictures to see how much her hair has grown since I always think it isn't! I clearly figured out how to make her braids even too and fit the same amount of beads on each braid 🖒

Layered braids

Take 2 at a style I did a few years ago. Length comparison pics in my next post!

Box braid style

2.5 weeks of braids and still looking pretty good! 43 braids took 3 hours! Didn't use a comb to part cuz that would have been a whole extra hour added lbvs... She loves her braids in braids so I decided to do 2 pigtail braids ☺

New braids!

Wanted to try something new but not too time consuming...LOVE this on my daughter! Although next time I'm going to detangle, moisturize and stretch over night. I did it on freshly washed hair and doing the big braids her hair kept tangling and to do these kinds of braids my hands only work on top and it's hard to do once I get to the middle/back of her head. Her hair is super thick so it made it harder for me to keep close to her head, my hands working right lol and keep the hair I didn't need out the way. But she loves it and I learned what I needed for next time!

"Elsa" braid

We started on freshly washed hair, then blow dried using "reniece" on YouTube method (took an hour!). Ran the straightener thru for less than a min total just to smooth it all, and gave her an "Elsa" braid ☺

Old style into new style

I took out all the braids from her last style except the ones in front...then braided those few into 3 bigger braids and made single braids with her freshly washed and detangled hair. I wrapped all the braids into a bun and secured it with a hair binder. Simple and pretty 😊

Braids, twists, triangles

The back has triangle parts but I didn't get a pic of them. I stared the twists with braids about an inch down to help hold the twists at the roots :)

Braided sock bun

Simple style after banding her hair for 2 days. I didn't know what to do so I did my quick go to style :)

X braids with pigtails

The style is pretty self explanatory.  I started with the front section and divided into 4, then braided each section. Then I moved on to the back crossing one braid to the other side and keeping the lower one on the same side (same on other) and put 2 braids in the final pigtail.  I added some ballies for weight so the braids didn't stick straight out

Different mohawk

This was a fairly quick, simple style that I'm hoping will last close to 2 weeks. I plan on changing the mohawk part a bit before I take it out just for a different look.

Zigzag protective style

Started with zigzag part down the middle of her head, then braided down sections and braided the loose ones together and binded in the back.  Quick, neat,  simple style :)

Simple braids and beads style

After her hair being in a poof for her dance recital all weekend I decided to do a simple protective style...I started with a deep condition and then used kids ”curls” products to style (moisture spray, custard, and oil). I actually have yet to decide if I actually like the custard for her hair, it doesn't seem to do much for moisture but I am head over heels for the cake smell lol... The beads I used I found at target a few days ago, they are actually rubber and amazing! They are so much easier to get over braids that are thicker in the back of her head. Also they seem like they wouldnt cause as much damage on the hair either. I always worry regular hard plastic beads will break her hair (I might just be weird tho lol)...anywho, I totally recommend them! :)

Easy summer hair

Not quite summer, but I love this style for warm weather! Simple and protective :)
